Hand embroidered Women's Kurti Top Chikan Embroidery follows the centuries old motifs hand drawn and embroidered with cotton / silk thread in reverse, to give a 'shadow' effect on the fabric. It can take several days to make a yard of fabric. Usually the lightest cotton, chiffon or georgette is used, but thick linen is sometimes used as well. This Paisley Front design is on black georgette material, embroidered with cotton.

This short 'Kurta' or shirt / top with short sleeves &  neck can be worn with a pair of trousers or skirt, and the lightweight georgette fabric is great for spring and summer.
